The Sugargum Story
Victorian Sugargum plantations have a history of farm use, as fencing and firewood. More recently Sugargum has been recognised for its durability as a sawn timber, with some plantations producing higher value poles and sawlogs.
All timber harvested has a use, as either durable sawn timber, durable landscape poles or firewood with great heating properties. Once trees are cut they are allowed to regrow to produce these products for future generations.
Sugargum coppice growth after harvesting.
